Valley Roots Stage
The festival’s largest performance space will feature music and dance, with daily themes highlighting different cultural perspectives and traditions. Featured performers include Indigenous Mixtec chilena band, Los Hijos de San Juan; National Heritage Fellow and Armenian musician, Richard Hagopian; and Laotian musical ensemble, Sieng-Khaen-Lao (Sound of the Lao Khaen), the quintessential Lao instrument, led by National Heritage Fellow Bounxeung Synanonh.
Gathering Place Stage
An intimate performance space where audiences can connect directly and participate with artists through music, dance, and conversation. Join a Contra Dance, a Laotian Lam Vong (Circle Dance), or learn about the songs of the Chicano Movement.
Our Voices Stage
Community conversations and stories about experiences connected to the Central Valley’s communities and cultures. Share stories alongside culture bearers reflecting on the festival’s themes of gathering, migration and immigration, Native stewardship, and futurism.
Native Ways Stage
A dedicated space featuring multigenerational culture bearers – language keepers, basket weavers, singers, acorn food specialists, storytellers, and more.
Practicing Native Ways Tent
Talk with and learn from Native culture bearers about living cultural traditions and their significance, with opportunities to further engage.
Hands on Heritage Area
Areas featuring artisans including lowrider engraving and painters, cowboy boot makers, Hmong textile artists, and more.
